Education and Early Influences
Abhay studied at Scottish Church College in Calcutta, where he learned English, philosophy, and Western thought. Although he received modern education under the British system, he remained deeply connected to the spiritual traditions of India. During this time, India was under British rule, and like many educated youth, Abhay showed interest in India’s independence movement and admired leaders striving for the country’s freedom.
Marriage and Responsible Life
In his early twenties, Abhay married Radharani Devi, following the customs of the time. He took on the responsibilities of family life while continuing his spiritual practices. Later, he entered the pharmaceutical business and became known as a responsible and capable businessman. Even while managing business and family duties, he continued reading spiritual literature and practicing devotion to Krishna.
A Deeper Spiritual Search
Despite success in worldly life, Abhay felt a deep inner spiritual calling. He often reflected on the purpose of life and searched for a spiritual guide who could give him direction in devotional service. The experiences of his youth quietly prepared him for a future mission—to share the teachings of Lord Krishna with people around the world.
