Sannyasa from Keshava Bharati
At the age of 24, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted sannyasa, the renounced order of life, from Keshava Bharati. By taking this step He dedicated His entire life to spreading devotion to Krishna. Although this decision caused deep pain to His family and the residents of Navadvipa, it allowed His spiritual message to reach people across India.
Cleaning of the Gundicha Temple
One of Mahaprabhu’s beautiful devotional activities in Puri was the cleaning of the Gundicha Temple before the annual Ratha Yatra festival. Along with hundreds of devotees, He personally cleaned every corner of the temple with great enthusiasm. Through this activity He taught that just as the temple must be cleaned before the Lord enters, the heart must be purified to receive divine love.
Dancing at the Ratha Yatra Festival
During the Ratha Yatra festival, Mahaprabhu danced in ecstatic devotion before the chariot of Lord Jagannath. Surrounded by thousands of devotees singing and playing instruments, He expressed deep love for Krishna through His dancing. Witnessing these divine moments, people felt their hearts filled with spiritual joy and devotion.
